Long points make it suitable for the high withered types, also suits med withers, horses with medium – lots of curve in their backs. Also works well for very croup high horses where you may need extra length of points to get the balance. Flatter seat allows riders with longer legs to ride in a smaller seat size on shorter backed horses.
